Let’s start with this incident, since it provides one more reason why Trump must not be the GOP presidential nominee in 2024:
Now, first of all, the Bezos Post story is, like so much of its daily content, false, as Trump proved with tape of the interview released after Piers Morgan had circulated a preview of it that appeared to show the former President walking out on the taping.
The truth is that Trump had [stupidly] agreed to a 20-minute sit-down with Morgan, and Morgan had managed to extend the engagement to a full hour by continuing to pepper Trump with rapid-fire questions that he [stupidly] continued to answer. The full tape released by Trump showed him telling Morgan he was leaving after one more question, which he did.
But the Bezos Post, a full 12 hours after Trump released the full tape, continued to promote Morgan’s myth on its Twitter feed, because of course that is what the Bezos Post would do. Anyone should know that.
Which begs the question: Why did Trump agree to do this interview in the first place? What idiot told him it would be a great idea to sit down with a professional snake like Piers Morgan? Or, more likely, did Trump have the notion that Morgan was somehow a “great guy” because he had seemed all buddy-buddy with Trump on one season of the Celebrity Apprentice years ago?
