Ronald Reagan famously said that “the 9 most dangerous words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’” For all you folks in the Canadian province of Quebec, the principle applies to the French language as well, as Emmanuel Macron has repeatedly proven in recent years.

Yesterday, French Prime Minister Justin Castro, er, ‘Trudeau’ proved Reagan’s bit of wisdom true one more time, in a frightening way:

Gosh, why can’t the government do this for real threats to democracy like Antifa and Black Lives Matter? So, here we have the illegitimate son of Fidel Castro, following his Papa’s example, seizing unprecedented power and acting as a de facto dictator in what used to be the Canadian Republic. We have seen this bit of Kabuki Theater played out before, and it doesn’t end well.
