The Campaign Update: What in the Hell is Going on at the Pentagon?
Yeah, no one believes you, John.
This Chinese spy balloon story has now evolved in a way that is likely to keep it in the news for quite some time. The ever-evolving, always-obfuscating story coming out of the Pentagon virtually ensures that will be the case.
While this current controversy has benefitted the Old Sock Puppet in the White House by taking the classified documents scandal off the front pages (funny how that works, huh?) just in time for the state of the union address, the Pentagon’s refusal to tell the truth about China spying both in the past and now is likely to haunt the Puppet’s approval ratings for weeks, maybe months.
The biggest tactical error made by both the White House and the Pentagon was the effort last Friday to shift blame to the Trump era officials with the claim that, hey, the ChiComs did this same thing repeatedly during the Trump administration. The problem for Biden’s evil handlers and woke generals with that whopper was not that it came as an obvious surprise to everyone who served in a national security job during the Trump presidency, but that it also came as a surprise to every Democrat in Washington, along with every member of congress.
Oops.
