This cover for the New York Post perfectly describes Thursday:

Image

One former President does what he does best: Seek out Americans in pain and do his best to give them some comfort. There wasn’t a lot Donald Trump could do for the family and fellow NYPD officers of Jonathan Diller, but just by showing up, he showed someone in leadership in this country actually gives a damn.

Joe Biden, of course, could never be bothered with showing empathy for hurting Americans, given that he utterly lacks empathy in his decrepit, haggard soul. So, he also did what he does best, which is attach himself to the hip to powerful people with more charsima than he possesses and raise money for his campaign.

Of course, parading 3 US presidents - two real ones, one pretend one - through the streets of New York City gnarled up traffic for hours, inconveniencing probably half of its citizens, if not more. But who cares about that? There were gobs of millionaires and billionaires to be fleeced at the rates of $250 per plate, $100,000 per private reception, and $250,000 per picture. What’s not to love about that if you’re a craven Democrat thug?

Biden’s fundraiser was advertised with a goal to raise $25 million. Meanwhile, Officer Diller’s young family is left to figure out how to continue meeting the mortgage next month.

[Note: Looks like the wonderful Tunnel to Towers Foundation is going to pay off the family’s home mortgage: Tunnel to Towers will pay off NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller's mortgage on Long Island home - CBS New York (cbsnews.com)]
