Thursday's Absurdity of the Day: ABC's Inoculation Interview With Biden Crashes and Burns
Biden's interview with Stephanopoulos was a standard lapdog media farce
Anytime a Democrat politician gets into trouble, one of the nation’s handful of corporate media outlets gets designated to take on the role of providing said politician with what denizens of the DC Swamp like to refer to as an “inoculation interview.”
These interviews, back in the days before the Internet, used to be pretty effective. The strategy certainly worked for Bill Clinton during the 1992 presidential campaign when reliable Democrat propaganda machine “60 Minutes” had him and a “stand by my man” Hillary on to do one in the midst of an epidemic of bimbo eruptions that threatened to derail his candidacy.

That’s the classic of all inoculation interviews, in which a willing Democrat lapdog “reporter” (in Clinton’s case it was reliable hack Steve Croft) lobs a bunch of pre-vetted softball questions out to the politician, who proceeds to give his version of the story without any interruptions or probing follow-up questions. This inoculation interview then is used by all the other corporate media outlets to parrot the talking points of the Democrat in stories that also chastise any Republicans who dare to question the veracity of the brave Democrat who is “coming clean,” after all.
This is the service that ABC News and George Stephanopoulos attempted to provide to our Sock Puppet-in-Chief on Wednesday. Who better, after all, to provide this particular service than Little George, given his past role as one of Bill Clinton’s many bag men. The manipulators who run ABC don’t worry about that inconvenient truth, since none of the millions of young people who make up the woke mob the media caters to even remember any of that. They actually think Stephanopoulos is a real “journalist.” Hilarious.
And were it not for the fact that just a tiny sliver of Americans get their “news” from ABC or any of the other network news anymore, it might have worked. The little bag man performed his role just fine, doing everything he could to try to coax the right scripted answer out of Biden’s addled brain, never interrupting as he would have done ad nauseum to Donald Trump or any other GOP politician, and never following up with any sort of difficult question or correction of one of Biden’s myriad false statements.

Mind you, the interview was taped Wednesday morning, and the Afghans dropping from the sky took place on Monday. Does the little bag man correct the Sock Puppet? No. Does he even bother to follow up with a question that might lead the lying “president” to correct himself? Hell, no, because he knows Biden has no earthly idea what day it even is at any given moment in time.
So, he does what any good Democrat shill conducting a classic inoculation interview would do: He simply nods his head and moves on to the next pre-approved question.
Another, more difficult role the little bag man had to play in this particular interview was to try to coax the “right” answer out of Biden when he inevitably lost track of the script that had been agreed-to by everyone involved in advance. Watch this clip as Stephanopoulos repeatedly re-words his question about whether the catastrophic U.S. “withdrawal” from Afghanistan could have possibly been handled any better at all until the Sock Puppet finally gets back on script:
Now, readers of The Campaign Update understand what is happening in the pre-planning and conduct of this inoculation interview. And you are no doubt disgusted by it all.
But you have to remember that these corporate fake news outlets today cater their messaging on behalf of the Democrats to the woke mob and the portion of our society that has allowed itself to be utterly brainwashed by the media, pop culture and our broken education system. That’s the Democrat voter base, and they have zero clue what is taking place before their eyes in this fake “interview.”
All of which helps to explain why this sort of pre-vetted interview is literally the only kind Biden is capable of conducting. I’m old enough to remember when even reporters for ABC News used to complain about presidents who didn’t give them enough access. Today, they just work their corrupt butts off to cover for them.
