It remains one of he great mysteries of the universe how The View has remained on the air for all these years. I mean, I try to be a believer in regular people, but the fact that enough regular people intentionally tune their TVs into this daily gaggle of shrieking shrews every day to keep it on the air makes maintaining any such belief very difficult indeed.
The increasingly shrill and portly poobah of The View today is of course the never-was-and-never-will-be-funny-in-any-way Whoopi Goldberg.
On Wednesday, Whoopi decided to weigh in (and boy, can she really weigh in) on her theory about why God supports the Democrat party position of abortion on demand right up to the moment of birth (and, if you’re a Democrat governor of Virginia or Barack Obama, even beyond that moment):
“My relationship with God is choppy.” Huh. Go figure.
Let’s move on…
Hey, Republicans, the Daily Beast wants you to know that your “love affair with Joe Manchin is over:
Do you know how many times we have seen this exact headline since Joe Manchin got into politics 40 years ago? How many times have Republicans engaged in the belief that this time is the time when Joe Manchin isn’t going to lead us along and screw us to the wall in the end? I doubt you could add them all up with your toes and fingers at this point.
This is what Joe Manchin does. Always does. But it’s also what Republicans do in response to Joe Manchin and his political manipulations. Always.
So yes, Daily Beast, the GOP “love affair” with Joe Manchin is over - right up until the GOP falls in love with Joe Manchin all over again.
From our Jim Cramer Always Ruins Everything file…
Time to sell gold, folks. Every day is opposite day in Jim Cramer world.
From our What Could Possibly Go Wrong? file:
Oh, sure, Gen Z, let’s turn the office into an indoor dog park. What could possibly go wrong this such a genius idea?
Holy crap.
From our Just in case any of you believe the media propaganda claim that Irish Bob O’Rourke is some sort of "moderate" file:
This guy is nothing less than the apparently male version of AOC.
Meanwhile, the one-man clown show who is White House energy advisor Amos Hochstein continued his clown act on Wednesday:
Here’s an excerpt from that story at Fox News:
Biden economic adviser Amos Hochstein was forced to confront the White House's conflicting narratives during an interview on Wednesday when he was asked about the administration's rush to take credit for lower gas prices, despite repeatedly blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin and oil executives when prices were high.
White House officials are touting their efforts to successfully lower gas prices after the national average dropped to $4.16, down from $4.81 last month.
Fox News host John Roberts asked Hochstein during an interview on "America Reports" whether it was fair for administration officials to own the decreasing gasoline prices after spending months blaming Russia for their rise and insisting it was out of their control.
"The war in Ukraine is still raging and prices are coming down. What about the idea that this was Putin’s price hike?" Roberts asked.
Hochstein rejected the suggestion from critics that the Putin war argument was "a fallacy."
"The prices started going up as soon as Putin started intervening in Europe," he said, maintaining that the Russian leader is to blame for scattering global energy markets. "The main increase in prices was when Putin started to intervene in the markets in the early fall of last year, and long before the invasion, when he started increasing the security premiums, those went up."
Hochstein said that the argument that prices were already rising under President Biden prior to Putin's disruption of the markets is "factually not true.”
[End]
Actually, gas prices rose rapidly throughout 2021, well before Putin even began massing troops and equipment along Russia’s border with Ukraine. That’s just a simple fact, and no amount of lies from Biden or this one-man clown show can change that reality. In fact, crude markets started to react to Biden’s election by raising prices the day after the 2020 election took place, knowing what Biden had promised to do during the campaign.
Gas prices have eased recently due to the onset of the Biden-caused recession, and that’s a good thing for everyone. But make no mistake about this: Gas prices are still more than $2.00 per gallon higher today than they were on Election Day 2020, and that is almost completely attributable to idiotic government policies promoted by walking clown shows like Amos Hochstein and Joe Biden.
That’s the truth, and we shouldn’t be shy about saying it.
That is all.
Too many channels and opinions. I realize this example is network TV, but this trash would never air back in the old days. I so wish we could go back to 3 TV channels, no cell phones, and no internet...we grew up on real news and facts! Life was so much more joyous and harmonious in those days! I feel sorry for those that missed it!!!
It appears that together, Goldberg and Abrams, bring a ton to the marketplace of ideas.
