In case you thought Energy Sec. Jennifer Granholm was serious last week when she said she and the nominal president’s other officials want to see more oil production from the U.S. industry, well, think again.

So, oil from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela is good; oil from America is bad. That has been and will remain the official position of this increasingly ludicrous administration.

Speaking of CNN, disgraced ex-prime time host Fredo Cuomo is going all scorched earth on the corrupt asshats who still infest the place.

Former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo held no punches in its explosive $125 million arbitration demand against the network, pointing to controversies that have plagued ex-colleagues as proof of "selective" enforcement of its policies. 

CNN has faced utter turmoil over the past several months that stemmed from Cuomo's involvement in aiding his brother, then-Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, during his sexual harassment scandal. The network's investigation into its star anchor led to the ousting of CNN president Jeff Zucker and executive vice president Allison Gollust, who both resigned after failing to disclose their consensual relationship. 

Reports also revealed that both Zucker and Gollust aided Gov. Cuomo in the early months of the pandemic to combat then-President Trump on the national stage. 

"CNN has a long-established pattern and practice of selectively enforcing its policies based on cynical calculations of public perception," the filing on Wednesday read. "Indeed, CNN fostered a culture in which 'exceptions' to the network’s standards and practices were routinely sanctioned, and that culture began at the top with Zucker and Gollust. As long as CNN’s ratings would not be hurt, Zucker and Gollust were more than willing to overlook major transgressions by CNN personalities such as Don Lemon and Jake Tapper, or even to engage in blatant misconduct themselves."

Despite Warnock’s vote against it, the Senate passed a bill proposed by Republican Sen. Rand Paul to rescind the public transportation mask mandate by a 57-41 vote on Wednesday. That follows a glorious unanimous vote in the Senate to make Daylight Savings Time permanent, and end our long national nightmare of changing times twice every damn year.

Of course, both measures must now be approved by the despicable Democrat majority in the House and signed by the addled Sock Puppet in the White House. So don’t go throwing away your masks just yet.

Even by the high standards of political mendacity, the attempt by President Biden last week to assign blame for the acceleration of prices that began just over a year ago to a war that began just under three weeks ago is remarkable for its cynicism, its dishonesty and its desperation.

The cynicism is so sweeping that you have to sit back and marvel. How much contempt do they have for the intelligence of Americans to think that there are enough who would believe such a proposition?

It’s cynical in a much more dismaying way too: as a grotesque effort to enlist an act of brutality by an autocratic aggressor in the service of domestic political expediency. The arts of political message creation may be darker than Vladimir Putin’s soul, but did someone in the White House really watch Ukrainian cities burn and images of wounded pregnant women being ferried from maternity hospitals and think “#Putinpricehike!”?

That last sentence encapsules the entire foundation for the Democrat Party’s existence: The cynical confidence in the stupidity of enough voting age people to enable Democrat candidates to get elected to office based on nothing but lies. Literally everything any Democrat candidate says is a lie, based solely on polling and focus grouping data. Every word.

This administration is no more or less dishonest and corrupt than any previous Democrat administration since Lyndon Johnson. Joe Biden is just one more nominal president who personifies this gif:
