Thursday's Thrilling Absurdities: Letitia James Changes the Subject for the Democrat/Media Propaganda Complex
Letitia James is the Attorney General of the state of New York. She is not an ambulance chasing trial lawyer, or at least she isn’t supposed to be. She was elected to serve as the chief law enforcement officer of the state.
Yesterday, she did this:
That’s right: She filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump, the Trump company and pretty much every member of the Trump family, alleging “fraud.” Against whom, the lawsuit doesn’t say. No individual is named as the plaintiff for what is supposedly a Trump-world-wide effort to artificially inflate the values of its myriad properties.
Apparently, it’s a victimless crime.
Or is Ms. James, who has been laughed out of court more times than any AG in memory, alleging any crime at all? If a crime was committed, why isn’t it being prosecuted in a criminal court? You know, by the chief law-enforcement officer of the state of New York?
Oh, wait: It turns out that the Manhattan District Attorney, a Democrat partisan hack just like Ms. James, considered all of this stuff last year, but declined to try to prosecute any of it because he determined there wasn’t a prosecutable case. He decided there is no “there” there.
