Thursday's Titanic Absurdities: Garland's Perjury, Schumer's Latest Folly and Elon Musk Has the Media in a Panic
There’s been lots of talk about a new Republican-dominated congress next year mounting an impeachment effort to remove Old Joe Biden from office. That is highly problematic for a number of reasons, the most obvious of which is that Biden’s lazy and useless Vice President, Kamala Harris, would be even more disastrous for the country than he has been.
As of yesterday, there’s a much better and more fit for purpose target for an impeachment effort by the GOP: Attorney General Merrick Garland. You may remember that Garland is the corrupt AG who, on October 4 of last year, wrote a memo to the FBI ordering the agency to mount domestic terrorism investigations on soccer moms all over the country who dared to speak out at school board meetings against the pushing of trans grooming and Critical Race Theory in the public schools.
During a congressional hearing on the matter late that month, Garland outright denied that that was the purpose of his memo, even though the memo’s clear language stated exactly that. It was an obvious perjury.
Yesterday, Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee published a letter to Garland informing him that, thanks to multiple whistleblowers in the Justice Department, it has uncovered proof that the FBI has indeed acted on the clear language of his memo and opened counterterrorism investigations into soccer moms all over the country:
Yes, as Christopher Rufo states above, this is indeed a grave abuse of power, as grave as any we’ve ever seen. It is also absolute proof of Garland’s outright perjury under oath during a congressional hearing.
You want to impeach somebody, Republicans? Welp, there he is.
Let’s move on…
The corrupt media attacks on Elon Musk of course continued on Wednesday, as the media’s fear of free speech breaking out on Twitter becomes increasingly desperate.
Here’s one such attack by the Democrat activists at the AP:
To paraphrase the Tweet for clarity: "Elon Musk claims to stand for free speech, yet he exercises free speech on Twitter to argue his points."
Wow. How awful of him, especially if you’re a blue-check “journalist” with the AP.
Also, note that Musk, the man who has created the most successful EV company on earth, the most successful private space exploration company on earth, who created PayPal and a successful underground boring company, and who has become the wealthiest man on the face of the earth, is now characterized by the corrupt legacy media as “an erratic visionary.”
Holy crap. What a bunch of creepy, un-American slobs these “journalists” are.
Speaking of creepy, un-American “journalist” slobs, remember how they all assured us that Georgia’s new voting security law was going to “bring back Jim Crow?” Yeah, what it has actually done is facilitate massively higher voter turnout:
Here’s an excerpt from that story:
I’m not a historian but “Jim Crow” isn’t supposed to lead to *more* voting, is it?
This data from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution feels like the coup de grace in Brian Kemp’s shockingly successful primary campaign against David Perdue. Not because Perdue was a critic of Georgia’s new voting law (he isn’t) but because it’s a delicious “own the libs” moment for Kemp, destined to please MAGA voters who might otherwise be wary of him. He fought Democrats over Georgia’s new voting law last year; he refused to bend when they demagogued it and when Major League Baseball pulled the All-Star Game out of Atlanta; and now he’s being vindicated by the fact that turnout is way up relative to the state’s last midterm election.
Being perceived as “weak” on elections is Kemp’s only liability in the primary thanks to Trump’s conspiracy theorizing. These numbers may remind undecideds that it isn’t true.
[End]
Oh.
Meanwhile, in Texas, the political career of George P. Bush, son of the execrable Jeb Bush and classic Bush RINO, is about to grind to an embarrassing end in the May 24 runoff election in the state Attorney General’s race:
Glorious. Absolutely glorious. No more Bushes, Texas. No more. We’ve had too many as it is.
Finally, Chuck Schumer proved once again yesterday why he is possibly the most inept Senate Majority Leader in American history.
The ghoulish, soulless New York Democrat once again led his caucus to the political guillotine, forcing them all to go on the record in support or opposition to a bill that would nationalize the abortion issue and make abortion-on-demand legal through birth in all 50 states:
Only Joe Manchin had the good sense among the Democrats to vote against this bill which, despite the false claims of CNBC and pretty much every other legacy media outlet, does not “codify Roe v. Wade” in any way, shape or form. Roe v. Wade specifically details that states have the right to restrict abortion in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of a pregnancy. The bill 49 of 50 Democrats voted to approve on Wednesday would legalize abortion through the moment of birth.
Big difference. And incredibly stupid vote, given that polls consistently show that no more than 20% of the public supports what that bill contained.
Thanks, Chuckie!
That is all.
Yes, Schumer exhibited what a fool he is by calling this vote!
