Trump v. Harvard: Who Stands to Win?

My favorite part of the ongoing tug of war between the Trump Administration and Harvard University came when Harvard issued a press release in which it said it would never surrender its “independence” to appease the federal government.

Now, understand that Harvard is an institution which receives $2.2 billion in grant money from that very same federal government each and every year. In total, Harvard benefits from over $9 billion in federal dollars during every 12-month period.

If this is what “independence” looks like, then please give me indentured servitude instead.
