Early Monday morning, Elon Musk published this bombshell:
Tucker Carlson’s interview with Andrew Tate last week has become far and away the most-viewed interview of all time. At the time of this writing, the interview has now been viewed by 92.2 million Twitter users:
This shows the incredible power of Carlson using Twitter as his new platform.
Had that interview aired on Carlson’s former home of Fox News, the very same interview might have received 3.5 million views and would have had to have been extremely edited-down to fit that show’s 1 hour time frame. Had it aired on Fox’s streaming platform, where it could have been shown in full, it might have received a couple hundred thousand viewers.
But on Twitter, it gets 92.2 million. Incredible.
I watched the interview over the weekend, and will make no judgment on Tate or what is happening to him since I still do not know enough about the situation. Tate did a great job of presenting his side of things, but it is only his side. The abuse he describes getting, though, is completely believable and all-too reminiscent of things that have been happening in the United States in recent years.
I’m sure many readers here know much more about the full story than I do, so I’ll just leave this here. Obviously, it’s a story that has struck a huge nerve among the public.
That is all.
I’m not sure about Tate either but I really do love that Tucker beat out O.
Your observations were right on, David! I'm not sure I like Tate at all, but the interview was important, informative and exactly what should be done in so many cases. He effectively gave everyone insight into Tate without imposing his own agenda.
