Tuesday's Absurdity of the Day: WaPo Says Biden Gets Same Negative Media Coverage as Trump

LOL.

Donald Trump’s greatest achievement in office was the complete disrobing of the corrupt mainstream news media of all pretense to objectivity. It had only been a pretense and nothing more for over half a century before Trump’s arrival on the political scene in 2015, but the pretense had been abandoned forever by the time he was sworn into office on January 20, 2017.

The younger folks who infest our major media platforms - the Millennials and Gen-Xers - never made any effort to hide their biases, and to me, that is a positive thing, maybe their only admirable attribute, in fact. The pretense was just a waste of time, anyway, since the bias always became clear soon enough. Might as well just lean into it whole-hog and be transparent about it.

Dana Milbank, a long-time leftist hack columnist for the Washington Post and former editor of the leftwing New Republic, is part of the older set. He’s probably not quite old enough to be a baby boomer, but he’s definitely over 50, and thus a fossil inside the Post’s kindergarten news room these days. As such, he is one of those more traditional denizens of the Democrat/media propaganda complex, a guy who still occasionally tries to cloak himself in the garb of false objectivity.

But he’s a leftist at heart and everyone knows it. Over the weekend, Milbank’s figurative cloak of many colors turned solid Democrat blue in a column in which he claims that “new AI data” provided to him by some AI data person - no doubt a Gen-Xer who lives in grandma’s basement by day and attends in Antifa rallies by night - somehow proves that the Sock Puppet currently occupying the White House receives exactly the same negative media coverage that President Donald Trump received and still gets today.

In other words: Who are you gonna believe, Milbank’s “new AI data” or your lyin’ eyes and ears?

Milbank’s clownish contention was immediately re-tweeted by fellow old media clowns like the WaPo’s pet pretend “conservative” Jennifer Rubin:

Because of course it was. These are Milbanks’s comrades in buffoonery, after all - they all infest the exact same leftist media echo chamber in which black is white, up is down, left is right and the Sock Puppet is just like Trump where media bias is concerned.

You seriously just cannot make this stuff up, folks. Who would even try?

Milbank hilariously debunks his own contention with this comment:

It’s not bias. It’s the actual words we’re using. So we are as negative as a collective media on Joe Biden, if not more so than we were to Donald Trump at a time when he was trying to overthrow democracy. That is a tremendous indictment of the whole industry.

But here’s the thing: Donald Trump never tried “to overthrow democracy.” That whole insurrection thing is a complete, total fantasy invented by the corporate media on orders from their Democrat Party masters. San Fran Nan needed a good narrative to justify that whole Jan. 6 Committee farce, and circus clowns like Milbank are only too happy to help her construct it.

There was in fact a riot at the Capital on January 6, one that paled in comparison to the 500+ riots Democrat party operatives in BLM and Antifa staged last summer and one that was quickly quelled. Had that January 6 riot been staged by BLM and Antifa, our collective, corrupt news media would have told us that it was “mostly peaceful” - which it actually was - and dropped the story like a hot potato the very next day. We’d have never heard about it again on CNN or in the pages of the WaPo, and Milbank knows it.

But because the people who participated in the riot were fans of the evil Trump, the collective media has coordinated a campaign with the Democrats to pretend the 2-hour event was in fact an “insurrection” and even, in Milbank’s words - an attempt to “overthrow democracy.”

But yeah, Joe Biden gets the exact same treatment from the news media. Maybe even worse.

If you’re a despicable leftist media hack like Dana Milbank, you might even believe your own bullshit.
