Tuesday's Terrible Absurdities: Tay-Tay Loves Trav-Trav Until She Doesn't, Just Like Obama Loves Old Joe
By now you’ve probably seen the video clips of Taylor Swift cheering her new soon-to-be-breakup, Tight End Travis Kelce, at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game at least a thousand times, unless you live in a cave. Ms. Swift is the hottest pop act since Feb. 9, 1964 (when the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show), and every move she makes is going to be obsessed over by the media, of course. This is always the way things work here in America.
Hey, at least she’s cute and clean and a very talented singer/songwriter, which sets her at odds with most other female musical acts these days, so if you have to see a single 20-second clip over and over and over again, you could do a lot worse.
Anyway, Tay-Tay’s decision to appear at the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium and be seen cheering for the home team set her right up to be exploited by every political hack and crank that’s associated with that franchise, whether she likes it or not.
