Tuesday's Terrific Absurdities: DeSantis KOs Crist as the Looming Red Wave Grows Larger

Last night, Ron DeSantis debated his washed-up old hack opponent, the execrable Charlie Crist, and just laid him out flat with this line:

.@GovRonDeSantis on whether or not he's running for president in 2024: "I know that Charlie is interested in talking about 2024 and Joe Biden. But I just want to make things very, very clear, the only worn-out, old donkey I'm looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist."

Hang on, I’m still laughing out loud.

Ok, so, the greatest Governor in America had no obligation or need to hold this debate, but agreed to do it anyway, probably because, like a cat with a lizard, he just wanted to torment his despicable opportunist opponent for awhile before putting him away for good.

That treatment may seem cruel, but in Charlie Crist’s case, it has been well-earned and is well-deserved. Mr. Crist is the worst, most destructive sort of American politician, a human chameleon with no principles or core beliefs, a rank demagogue who is willing to say anything about any issue that he thinks will gain him votes.

Basically, he is the Baby-Boomer version of Generation X’s Irish Bob O’Rourke.

Everybody knows this, most especially the Democrats who anointed Crist, a former Republican governor of Florida who has also campaigned for various public offices as an independent and now a Democrat, as their desperate party’s nominee. They just didn’t care, calculating that Crist might be able to fool more of the ignorant masses than his primary opponent, hapless Ag Commissioner Nikki Fried.
