Holy cow, what a day Monday was. It is honestly hard to remember a single day on which so many major news events took place. If you’d have told me 7 years ago, as the pace of news cycles had already accelerated from a handful of new ones every week to several new cycles every damn day, that that pace would still be accelerating in 2024, I’d have probably thrown up my hands and gone back to trying [in vain] to play a decent round of golf.
Nah, this is more fun, isn’t it?
But back to Monday.
First, there was the acquittal of Daniel Penny and the repudiation by a jury made up primarily of Black Americans of thug Soros DA Alvin Bragg.
Penny is the ex-Marine who subdued a violent lunatic named Jordan Neely on a New York Subway last year, placing Neely in a choke hold after he had screamed at and threatened passengers on the train with bodily harm and even death. Neely unfortunately died following the incident, although he was still alive and breathing well after police and other first responders arrived on the scene.
