Wednesday's Absurdities of the Day: Some Comments on Topics Not Related to Biden's Afghanistan Catastrophe
Yes, there are still other things happening in the world.
While most of the headline news stories this week have been about Jihad Joe Biden’s ongoing catastrophe in Afghanistan, take a look at what has been happening in “democracies” like Scotland, New Zealand and Australia:
Permanent “emergency” powers so that the Scottish government can institutionalize its’ brutish authoritarian policies related to COVID, none of which have been in any way successful.
Meanwhile, in New Zealand, the authoritarian strong-woman ruler of that country has put everyone back in Nazi-style lockdown over one, single “case” of COVID. That is not a mis-statement or typo. ONE CASE.
Now, take a look at Aussie-land:
No parents will be allowed access as 24,000 children - who derive zero benefit from being vaccinated - are herded into a stadium and forced to take a shot many of their parents no doubt oppose. This is the very essence of Naziism.
But it just gets worse:
That’s right: Cops pepper-spraying kids in Australia - ostensibly a free country - for not wearing masks that the “science” proves have zero effect on the spread of the virus.
I show you these images as a warning: If we Americans do not stop behaving like a flock of sheep and mindlessly complying with edicts from our own various levels of government that have zero basis in science and are completely unsupported by any real data whatsoever, scenes just like these will be coming to our shores, and much sooner than you think. Do not kid yourselves otherwise.
All of these COVID edicts have nothing to do with protecting anyone or somehow benefitting your health in any way, shape or form. To believe they do is to simply ignore their utter and complete failure to impact the spread of this man-made virus in any way.
These edicts are about two things: The exercise of power to control your behavior, and political ambition of a bunch of thugs who thirst for more political power.
The best case in point here in Texas has been the behavior of Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins throughout this pandemic. Jenkins is the thug who had the Dallas County Sheriff’s department arrest the single mother operator of a local hair salon last year for her refusal to obey his completely illegal shutdown order. He has consistently refused to comply with the executive orders of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose decisions have been based on the advice of an array of medical and legal experts since day 1.
Why does Jenkins behave in this outlaw manner? Because he wants to become the Democrat Party’s nominee in next year’s race for the governor’s office. It is to achieve that political goal that Clay Jenkins has been willing to illegally manipulate the behavior of people in Dallas County, including the county’s school children.
Yesterday, even long-time Democrat County Commissioner John Wiley Price became fed up with Jenkins’ pedantic and abusive behavior related to the wearing of masks during Commissioners Court meetings:
Here’s some excerpts from that story:
A shouting match over mask wearing stalled a Dallas County Commissioners Court meeting on Tuesday as a small crowd gathered outside to protest Judge Clay Jenkins’ rules on face coverings.
Jenkins, who attended the meeting virtually from his office, offered to send a paper mask to John Wiley Price because he couldn’t see the commissioner wearing one. Price alternated between covering his face with a mask and dangling it from his ear.
“I don’t want that [expletive] paper mask,” Price shouted back from the court, which was mostly empty. “I’m 13 feet from anybody.”
Jenkins, who has said that masks would be required in the commissioners courtroom, reminded them multiple times during the meeting.
It was the latest escalation in growing tensions over mask wearing statewide.
Two weeks ago, a bailiff removed Commissioner J.J. Koch from a meeting after he refused to wear a mask in the courtroom with his four other peers, launching a lawsuit that now has embroiled Jenkins and Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in an ongoing legal battle over mask mandates.
…
In the middle of a budget presentation, Jenkins interrupted to remind Price to wear his mask.
“I’m wearing a mask,” Price shouted. He cursed again. “Hell, I just can’t talk through the damn thing.”
“That’s the order of the court,” Jenkins told him.
That’s when Koch joined the kerfuffle.
“No, no that’s your order,” he shouted over Jenkins and Price. “That’s not the order of the court.”
Jenkins has previously said he has authority to require masks at Commissioners Court meetings under a Texas Supreme Court order that allows judges to mandate public health policies in their courtrooms. Koch and state Attorney General Ken Paxton have argued that doesn’t extend to county judges, who are elected officials.
Multiple conflicting court orders have been filed since Koch sued Jenkins two weeks ago, and Jenkins has issued an executive order requiring masks in public spaces and county-owned buildings.
“I’m taking care of my business,” Price said as the three men spoke over each other. “This is not mask monitoring.”
[end]
It goes on from there, but you get the point. Jenkins is a classic liberal busybody intent on controlling the behavior of others and willing to deploy any means, legal or illegal, in order to do so. Remember his name, because his fellow busybodies in the Texas Democrat party love him and he will probably be Beto O’Rourke’s main competition to become their next failed gubernatorial nominee next year.
That is all.
