Wednesday's Absurdity of the Day: Democrats Deification of Incompetent "Experts" is a Religion, and a Problem

We’ve talked a lot here about how the media - and thus, the Democrats who are willingly brainwashed by the media - have deified the Little Monster Anthony Fauci, even to the point of covering up his approval and funding of puppy torture, despite all of the serial lying he has done across every TV news outlet on the air in the past 20 months. Fauci is a life-long failure, a hack who has never been responsible for coming up with any real solution to any illness, since he started working for the government during the AIDs epidemic in the 1980s.

Yet, to the media and rank and file Democrats, Fauci is a god. A literal god - his St. Fauci doll is selling like hotcakes among those who also worship at the altar of Obama and Pelosi.

For Democrats, the pronouncements of “experts” is literal dogma, to be mindlessly repeated even long after it has been conclusively proved to be false and, as in the case of COVID, laughably and tragically ineffective. Want to know whether to get a vaccine or wear a mask? Follow the “science.” Of course, the “science” is whatever St. Fauci says it is on any given day, and that requires a lot of attention to be paid to what he says since he tends to say something different on any given day.

But hey, he says it and he’s an “expert,” so it’s “science.”

We see the same phenomenon among Democrats where “climate change” is concerned. 50 years ago, “climate change” said we were about to have another ice age. 30 years ago, “climate change” was called “global warming.” Always over the last 50 years, the “experts” about “climate change” have told us that we have just 10 years to fix the problem or we are doomed. In the run-up to the coming UN COP26 summit, they’re ratcheting the alarm up to just 8 years. 8 years from now, they’ll go back to 10 years, or maybe down to just 6 or 5 or 8 again. Whatever, it doesn’t matter because hey, it’s “science” after all.

Now, we’re seeing Democrats engage in this cultish behavior related to education. Well, ok, they’ve always done that - a cultish belief in the superiority of the national government to deal with any problem is why Jimmy Carter established the despicable Department of Education in 1977. Nevermind that education quality has plummeted since that tragic day: Democrats worship the DOE bureaucrats because they’re “experts” and verbally assault anyone who disagrees as being anti-education.

The results of a new USA Today poll out this week show this religious cult exercise at work:

A new poll from USA Today shows just how out of touch Democrats are on education. They would overwhelmingly rather have bureaucrats and special interests decide what your kids learn. It's time to put families back in charge.

In this poll, Democrats are breathtakingly out of step with the rest of the public, with 70% of them believing the dogma that school boards, not parents should have the largest say in how the children are educated. In some cities that works fine, because the voters have elected responsible people to their school board who understand that a big part of their duties is to be responsive to the wishes of the parents.

In too many other communities, though, that is not the case. Some school boards become populated by Democrat religious zealots who believe that getting elected to a board immediately makes them an “expert” who has a right to exercise absolute control over the curriculum. Shockingly, 70% of Democrats agree with that notion.

I would submit to you that, if this poll is accurate, our current system of public education is not sustainable, at least if our country wants to still aspire to the goal of giving all children equal access to anything resembling a quality education. Because the inevitable outcome of this Democrat worship of “experts” will be - and is already becoming - a system in which schools in areas dominated by Democrat voters will be terminally sub-standard, and will produce schools with drastically high dropout rates (think Chicago and inner-city New York and Philly and Milwaukee and even Houston) and kids who graduate utterly and irreversibly brainwashed minds.

It’s also how you end up in a country where a Democrat Attorney General instructs every U.S. attorney in the country to monitor local school board meetings and sic the FBI on parents who speak out at them. This is what happens when a political party craves power and control with religious zeal.

Where you have 70% of parents believing they aren’t primarily responsible for the education of their kids, you inevitably have schools in which parents are non-participants. Such schools tend to be the worst schools. That’s actual science, in fact.
