When you’ve lost Rolling Stone and Mediaite in the corrupt media world, you’ve lost. That’s the lesson Fredo Cuomo learned Tuesday, as his efforts to help his brother Michael, er, Andrew by digging up dirt on the women he abused finally came back to haunt him. Fredo was “suspended indefinitely” by the media mob bosses who run CNN like a ‘70s Vegas casino last night, which basically means he’s about to be sent out on a boat to “go fishing” on Lake Tahoe.
Rolling Stone, where the term “journalistic ethics” wafted out the window in a puff of pot smoke at some point during the late 1960s, signaled this outcome was basically inevitable early Tuesday by publishing a piece going after Cuomo for his lack of, well, journalistic ethics. If you think that’s really quite ironic and unintentionally hilarious, congratulations: That means you’ve been paying attention in recent years.
Here’s an excerpt from that Rolling Stone piece:
Chris Cuomo hosts a primetime CNN show on which he discusses national political issues. He’s also the brother of Andrew Cuomo, the disgraced former governor of New York who resigned in August in the wake of a damning report detailing several allegations of sexual misconduct. It was a pretty big conflict of interest, especially considering Cuomo the younger was advising his brother on how to weather the scandal. Documents released on Monday by the New York attorney general’s office reveal that Chris was involved more intimately than previously believed.
In an interview with state investigators, Chris said he talked to other journalists about what they were hearing about allegations coming down the pike, and then fed information to Melissa DeRosa, Andrew’s top aide. “I have a lead on the wedding girl,” Chris texted DeRosa days after The New York Times reported that Andrew attempted to kiss a woman at a wedding. The “lead,” which turned out to be false, was that the girl, Anna Rauch, was lying about the encounter.
State prosecutors revealed months later that Chris had been CC’d on emails among Andrew’s team, as well as several other details of his involvement as the allegations of sexual misconduct threatened to bring down the political scion at the helm of one of the nation’s most populous states.
CNN and Cuomo may have acknowledged that participating in meetings with his brother’s team was inappropriate, but using connections developed through his job as a political commentator to aid one of the nation’s most powerful politicians as he tries to navigate a sexual misconduct scandal represents another level of unethical behavior. It’s the type of below-board, conflict-of-interest dealing that would likely get anyone not named “Cuomo” fired, and which at the very least exacerbates to the public’s waning trust in ostensibly unbiased networks like CNN.
[End]
Don’t you love how the Rolling Stone writers include that last bit about CNN supposedly being an “unbiased network”? That’s some funny stuff right there.
Later Tuesday, the leftist hacks at Mediaite also ran their own hit piece on Fredo, sending a signal to the Capo Regimes at CNN that the jig was well and truly up and it was time for the younger Cuomo to go sleep with the fishes. The piece carries the laugh-out-loud headline of “Everyone in Media Thinks Cuomo Should Be Fired. CNN Isn’t Sure.”
Think about that one for second. Literally “Everyone in Media” thinks Cuomo should be fired? Really? What, did they conduct a Survey Monkey poll or something? How does Mediaite possibly know that “Everyone in Media” thinks Fredo needs to go?
Maybe this excerpt will explain how:
The new information has prompted prompted a many in the media to raise an important question: how can CNN possibly keep Chris on their payroll? The network says they will conduct a “thorough review” of Cuomo in response to the new developments. Others in the industry say it’s time:

Ok, wait. Meghan McCain is representative of “Everyone in Media”??? Hell, she doesn’t even have a job in media anymore, does she? Plus, 98% of those “in Media” literally hate Meghan McCain. They detest her and the very ground she walks on - just ask her former fellow shrews on The View.
Next, Mediaite cites some guy named Paul Farhi, whose Twitter profile says he “writes about the media for the Washington Post.”
Oh. Like, who cares?
Next, and most guffaw-inducing hilariously, the Mediaite hacks drag out the rotting corpse of many-times-disgraced Keith Olbermann! I swear I do not make this stuff up:
For those who may have forgotten, Mr. Olbermann has been summarily fired from literally every media job he has ever held. His only role in the “media” today is the faked-up video screeds he records in his basement in which he literally pretends to still have a job as a “news” anchor.
This, friends, is the state of our corrupt news media today, with fake news outlets like Mediaite and Rolling Stone forming up a circular firing squad to try to convince the fellow news-fakers at CNN to rid the occupation of the human pestilence who is Chris “Fredo” Cuomo.
You could never, never, ever make this stuff up if it didn’t really happen. And who in their right minds would ever want to?
That is all.
Jesse Kelly is a former Marine and Iraq combat veteran; I'd like to see Olbermann call him a putz to his face! Semper fi
