Wednesday's Absurdity of the Day: No, Biden Will Not be Impeached
Just so you know in advance, ChinaJihad Joe is not going to be impeached. Yes, I know he’s an utter and complete disaster for our country. Yes, I know he got 13 of our people killed and left hundreds more behind in Afghanistan, not to mention the service dogs. Yes, I know he has issued a series of patently unconstitutional executive orders since assuming office. Yes, I know his administration has intentionally created a crisis on our Southern border and refuses to do anything real to address it. And yes, I know that we’ve just had tape of a call he had with the former “president” of Afghanistan - two illegitimate “presidents” on a single call! - in which he encouraged him to lie to the media and public about the deteriorating situation there.
I know all of these things - I’m the guy writing about this stuff every morning.
I’ve also seen all the Republican members of congress bragging about impeaching him and even introducing articles of impeachment in the House of Representatives. This is commonly known as what Republican members of congress do when they are in a powerless minority. In case you spent the first two years of the Trump administration on vacation, their behavior tends to change whenever they happen to gain a majority. Funny how that works, huh?
So, if you’re thinking, well gee, if we can just hang on until November of next year and have a sea change election and put the Republicans back in majorities in both houses of congress we can get rid of this utterly corrupt Sock Puppet, you are probably setting yourself up for a major disappointment. Kevin McCarthy would be Speaker then, and if you think Kevin McCarthy is going to lead an effort to impeach any card-carrying leader of the DC Swamp, you just haven’t really been paying enough attention to the progression of the California congressman’s move up the ladder into GOP leadership.
Simply put: The Swamp controls who becomes House Majority Leader, McCarthy’s current office, and who becomes Speaker of the House.
Plus, think about what waiting until next year’s mid-term elections to start turning these disasters around really means: It really means that you think we still have a system of free and fair elections in our country. In your heart of hearts, is that something you really believe after what took place last November?
Tell you what: The recall vote in California is just a couple weeks away now. Watch and see how that all goes and then get back and tell me if you still think we have free and fair elections in the nation’s largest population state.
The good news is that we do still have mostly free and fair elections in my home state of Texas, and they just got freer and fairer on Tuesday. The state’s fugitive Democrats finally took Biden’s lead and surrendered in their idiotic effort to deny the House a quorum, and Republicans were finally able to pass their Election Integrity Bill into law. Here is Gov. Greg Abbott’s victory lap statement on that deal:
The question next November will not be whether or not Republican candidates receive more legal votes than their Democrat counterparts - there is no question at all that that will happen. Hell, it happened last November, too. The question will become whether or not GOP gains in states with free and fair elections like Texas can overcome all the vote-and-outcome-stealing the Democrats are able to achieve in corrupted states like California and Michigan and Pennsylvania and New Jersey and Georgia and on and on.
But, regardless of how all that goes, Kevin McCarthy will remain the leader of the GOP caucus in the House. And Kevin McCarthy is not going to lead any effort to impeach Joe Biden if he is in a majority position in the House.
That is all.
Sad but true, all of it. I live in Kalifornia, Im a native here. But I can tell you exactly how the recall will go. Polls will close. The media will breathlessly be predicting the Newsom win. No results that night though, sorry. It will drag on a minimum of two weeks and during that time all these missing ballots will be found in rental trucks and the like. And surprize, surprize, surprize..Newsom beats the recall by a resounding majority. It is so utterly predictable and there isn't a thing on God's green earth to change it.
