Wednesday's Absurdity: Whoopi Goldberg's Wrist Slap Should Outrage Everyone
Roseanne Barr was fired for making a racist joke on Twitter. Megyn Kelly was fired for being the subject of vague, intentionally non-specific accusations of racism, or some sort of -ism. It’s hard to remember now.
But let Whoopi Goldberg make overtly racist, anti-Semitic and disgracefully ignorant remarks about the nature of the Holocaust, and all she gets from ABC is a 2-week suspension. So, a little extra vacay time for this putrid hag who has spewed rank disinformation from her platform as the grand poobah of “The View” seemingly since the beginning of time.

ABC News suspended "The View" host Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks after she said the Holocaust was not about race, the network said Tuesday.
In a statement, Kim Godwin, president of ABC News, called Goldberg's comments "wrong and hurtful."
"While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments," Godwin said. "The entire ABC News organization stand in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities.”
Goldberg made the comments Monday morning while the panel was discussing a Tennessee school board’s banning of “Maus,” a graphic novel about the Nazi death camps.
"It’s about the Holocaust, the killing of six million people, but that didn’t bother you?" she said. "If you’re going to do this, then let’s be truthful about it. Because the Holocaust isn’t about race. No, it’s not about race.”
Another host, Joy Behar, responded that the Nazis described Jews as a different race.
"But it’s not about race," Goldberg said. "It’s not. It’s about man’s inhumanity to other man."
When another host said that white supremacy was behind the Holocaust — and that Nazis targeted Jewish and Roma people — Goldberg said those are “white groups of people.” When a third host pointed out that the Nazis didn’t view Jews as white, Goldberg said she was “missing the point.”

Everyone needs to understand that Goldberg’s parroting of the line that the Holocaust was only about “man’s inhumanity to other man” is a false narrative used by modern-day Nazis and other overt racists to justify their ongoing anti-Semitism. She was literally adopting the language of Nazis.
These remarks display such an abject ignorance of the real nature of atrocities committed by Hitler and his Nazi hordes that resulted in the vicious extermination of 6 million human beings that it’s a wonder that Goldberg can remember her own name. Oh, wait, she probably doesn’t, since she changed her name from Caryn Johnson to Whoopi Goldberg - a common Jewish last name - years ago.
Writing at the New York Post on Tuesday, Jewish columnist Jon Podhoretz took the flaming nitwit to task for that deceit:
Note, please, that Caryn Johnson didn’t become Whoopi Rockefeller. No. She knew that by becoming Whoopi Goldberg, she would be choosing to flaunt in every way possible the fact that she was a minority person in a majority-white country. The “Goldberg” was the cherry on top.
You see, in the early 1980s, when Johnson became Goldberg, it was still commonly understood that Jews were a people apart. We were apart due to facts of history, due to discrimination and hatred based on our very being and — for those who practiced the faith rigorously — due to the way we ate, dressed, celebrated the Sabbath and prayed.
And we were apart because we were the only people in history to be targeted for mass extermination by one of the most powerful countries in the history of the earth — something that had happened in the living memory of half the people on the planet at the time.
Flash forward to 2022, when Whoopi Goldberg says offhandedly on “The View” that the Holocaust was a white-on-white crime. “The Holocaust is not about race,” she says. “These are two white groups of people.”
Forget that Hitler called the Germans a “master race” and that according to classic Nazi doctrine, Jews constituted a “subhuman Asiatic race.” You see, Whoopi told Stephen Colbert as she tried to clean up the mess she had made early in the day, “I think of race as being something I can see.”
That’s nice that she thinks about it that way. But it’s monumentally ignorant, stupid and almost jaw-droppingly offensive.

As Podhoretz notes, Goldberg is such a self-absorbed abject ignoramus that she went on Stephen Colbert’s political talk show Monday night and just dug herself into a deep hole even as she thought she was sort of “apologizing.” She’d have probably been fine if she had just gotten someone with a brain to write a real apology for her to drop onto her Twitter feed, but no: She’s such an entitled leftist moron that she figured she would just go back on national TV and weasel-word her way out of it.
After all, she’s an entitled leftist, and thus a part of the woke mob’s protected class. Plus, she no doubt figured that she’s not just any entitled leftist, but an entitled leftist who is also a Black woman and thus, double-protected. Maybe even triple-protected.
But it turns out that ABC is a corporate entity, owned by Disney, and thus staffed by employees and executives from all backgrounds, including many who are Jewish. Disney also has a board of directors, some of whom reportedly made their outrage known to ABC/Disney management throughout Monday and Tuesday, and demanded action here.
But all Disney management could come up with for this triple-protected racist ignoramus was a two-week suspension. Because, hey, she is triple-protected after all. Too bad Roseanne and Megyn weren’t triple-protected, too.
This is the society in which we live today, and it is pathetic.

I'm amazed that Caryn was reprimanded at all, knowing how liberals stick up for each other so much. Only because she denigrated the Jews did she receive any punishment at all. If ABC was serious about the issues raised, they would replace her with someone not mentally imbalanced. You will remember, of course, how viciously she and others attacked President Trump for no other reason than she and others disagreed with his politics. Meanwhile, those of us who disagree with FJB are labeled domestic terrorists and dangers to the nation. Sooner or later all of the media must be replaced with those who report the news instead of resorting to one uuuuuuge opinion piece over and over again.
Parent company of ABC, Disney got rid of Gina Carano for positing a well thought-out opinion on other-ism. Double standards dont even scratch the surface.
