Wednesday's Parade of Absurdities: Canada is Gone, Tulsi for Veep, and More Firing Fun at CNN

Here’s a succinct summation of where Canada is this morning:

Again, the only difference between a media/Democrat-declared “conspiracy theory” and the new reality you see playing out on your TV is roughly 3 to 6 months. As we sit here today, Canada’s media and Trudeau’s liberal party are calling the thought that Trudeau will ultimately use the military to quash the truckers if needed a conspiracy theory. Frankly, I think the timeline for that to become reality will be a matter of days if the truckers don’t relent.

Stop and imagine the reaction of the media and world if the U.S. president invoked emergency powers and froze the bank accounts of BLM protesters in 2020. This is horrifying.

Yes, stop for a moment and try to imagine the uproarious outrage that would have taken place across the U.S. news media - and the Canadian media, for that matter - had Donald Trump taken similar steps against the Antifa/BLM domestic terror network during the summer of 2020. During that summer, a dozen big, Democrat-run cities were literally burning as part of a summer of riots planned and paid for by the Democrat party and its support groups, which is what both Antifa and BLM are.

The media would have characterized Trump as the second coming of Hitler. Ok, well, they did that anyway for the last 6 years, but the intensity of it would have been overwhelming. The Democrat talking heads you see on TV panel shows slamming the truckers and defending Trudeau would have called such measures deployed by Trump to be the literal end of freedom and democracy as we have known it. Hell, they’d be doing that right now if Canada had a conservative prime minister instead of a communist thug.

We all know that’s true. It’s simply unarguable.

What we see Trudeau doing today is taking the actions of a government that has lost its moral authority to govern. They are the actions we have seen from despots across the globe since time immemorial. And they’re happening right on our doorstep, with the clear endorsement of the U.S. administration.

Scary.

This guy might actually turn out to be worse than De Blasio. That’s like the lowest bar on earth, yet he seems determined to plumb new depths below it every day. Two months ago, I thought this was simply not possible, yet here it is. Amazing.

If Donald Trump runs again in 2024 on a platform to unite the country - or as much of the country that can still be united - he might want to seriously consider asking Tulsi Gabbard to be his running mate. Think of how much better off our country would be right now had Biden picked her instead of the utter incompetent he chose instead.

Well, it took a few weeks, but Jeff Zucker’s on-the-job squeeze was jettisoned by management of CNN parent company WarnerMedia Tuesday, citing violations of company policies. Oh, you don’t sayyyyyyyy. What tipped you off?

Jason Kilar, CEO of CNN parent company WarnerMedia, released the following statement:

“Earlier today, Allison Gollust resigned from CNN following the conclusion of the Company’s investigation into issues associated with Chris Cuomo and former Governor Andrew Cuomo,” Kilar wrote.

“Performed by a third-party law firm and led by a former federal judge, the investigation was comprehensive and definitive. It was commissioned in September and concluded this weekend, which now allows me to share additional information with you. Based on interviews of more than 40 individuals and a review of over 100,000 texts and emails, the investigation found violations of Company policies, including CNN’s News Standards and Practices, by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust, and Chris Cuomo.

Cool. Now do Zucker’s little best buddy, Brian Stelter. This would be a great time to rid yourselves of Don Lemon and Alisyn Camerota while you’re at it. Why not use this scandal as an opportunity to clean out all the fake news channel’s deadwood?

That’s what sane management would do, after all. But of course, CNN has not been run by sane management for a long, long time. Thus, this will probably be the end of it.
