Wednesday's Woeful Absurdities: Another Sad Election Day for the GOP

Another election day, another crushing disappointment for the Republican Party. This is what Donald Trump endorsed Ronna Romney McDaniel to produce? If nothing else, she is consistently disappointing.

Despite winning every other statewide office in Kentucky by wide margins, Republicans again failed to unseat a Democrat governor there. Such ticket splitting is increasingly rare and seems unlikely to reflect a legitimate vote count, but the GOP appears to lack the wherewithal to make even a token effort to truly police the situation.
