It is also key to point out that a vote to move a nominee out of committee does not preclude any member from voting against the same nominee on the floor. That said, the scuttlebutt is that Gabbard will be confirmed by enough Republicans to not need JD Vance to come over and break a 50/50 tie. That is huge.
