I’m making this post fully public because I’m about to toot my own horn for about 900 words or so, something I truly am loathe to do. I’ve never been much of a self-promoter, but I think it’s important to appeal to those free subscribers here who are on the fence about whether to become paid subscribers occasionally, and the best way I know to do that is to let them know what they’re missing.
I believe that most of my long-term readers here continue to subscribe because reading my predictions and insights from 30 years of being active in the political and public policy space means they are often well ahead of the curve when it comes to major events.
A good example of this came up this morning:
On today’s Two-Way podcast, Mark Halperin - a very astute political pro - admitted that Joe Biden was not up to the job way back in 2020 and shouldn’t have run. I want to remind everyone of two things:
During the 2020 campaign, Halperin and Morning Joe panelist John Heilman had a show on HBO (I think the title was “Game Change”) in which they documented the race between Biden and Trump. The show had a very heavy bias in favor of Biden and never put much focus on his obvious mental incapacity at the time.
Meanwhile, readers of my previous blog that existed before my 2021 move to Substack had been reading since April 2019 - when Biden declared for the race - that the man was clearly suffering from advancing dementia and would be a disaster if elected.
This was simply an obvious reality, though one nobody in the media wanted to talk about. Indeed, Biden’s staff and the media coordinated on a massive coverup of that reality until it could no longer be masked following Biden’s disastrous debate performance in July.
Here are some other major events of recent years my readers knew would happen long before they came about:
I predicted as early as the Fall of 2020 that West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin would ultimately cave in on the Inflation Reduction Act and told readers why;
Before that bill passed, I detailed all the reasons why the green energy subsidies contained in it would be disastrous for our energy sector and power grid and result in a wave of bankruptcies;
I accurately predicted in early September last year how Trump would win the presidency and would probably sweep every battleground state;
I predicted on the morning of Jan. 7, 2021 that what happened at the Capitol Building was an unfortunate riot and nothing more, but that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats would coordinate with the media in an attempt to use it to destroy Donald Trump;
I told you weeks before the final decision was made that Kamala Harris had no choice but to turn down the invitation to do Joe Rogan’s podcast;
I predicted the Matt Gaetz nomination was most likely a tactic designed to nominate a candidate so repugnant to most senators that they would leap at the chance to confirm whomever Trump nominated next. Watch how easily Pam Bondi is confirmed in the coming couple of weeks;
I told you weeks ago that Trump was dead serious about acquiring Greenland and I’m telling you today that he will get that deal done by the end of 2025;
I’ve also told readers that Trump is not at all serious about Canada, but is dead serious about the Panama Canal. I predict he will get that transaction done this year, too, by whatever means necessary;
I told readers of my previous blog back in 2019 that AOC is the next Democrat Manchurian Candidate and she will mount a serious run for the party’s nomination as soon as 2028. Watch what happens in that year;
I told you in January 2021 that Anthony Blinkin would be an unmitigated disaster as Secretary of State and that Jake Sullivan was a child who would be a similar disaster as National Security Advisor. The current state of a world on fire proves the accuracy of those predictions;
I was an early Trump adopter and predicted he would win the 2016 election in October, 2015;
I told you on the day of the first assassination attempt in Butler, PA that the FBI and Secret Service would mount a major coverup of that event. Any questions?;
I told you on the day of the second attempt on Trump’s life that the assassin would be shown to have heavy ties to the U.S. intelligence community. Again, any questions?;
Ok, enough of that.
So, what does it all mean? I am not trying to claim to be some sort of genius, because I certainly am not that.
But I think one reader said it best last year when he commented that what I am is someone who is very adept at pattern recognition. Because of my wide variety of life and professional experiences, I’ve been able to become skilled at recognizing what certain events and statements by political and business leaders foretell about future events and trends to come.
I’m not always right, but I think it’s accurate to say I’ve compiled a very strong winning percentage.
So, if you are on the fence about whether to become a paid subscriber and gain access to the stuff behind these pesky paywalls, my strongest selling point is that by doing so you will become part of a community that often knows what is likely to happen and why before it actually does.
Plus, you’ll get a few laughs along the way, and who doesn’t need a few laughs in their lives?
That is all.
Worth the price of admission, y’all. And then some.!
Dave- when you stopped publishing your previous blog, I was bummed as it was one of the first items I read each morning. So when I saw you publishing on Substack I subscribed ASAP. It is one of the first things I look at each morning (along with reading scriptures). Your insight helps me to digest the news each morning so thank you for that!
I am hopeful that your analysis regarding the Panama canal is also correct. I was one of the last American military personnel assigned there in 1999 & hated to see the US give up this asset so easily. The many Panamanians I knew did not want us leaving as well, as there were concerns that the Panamanian government would not be able to run it. While they have kept it open & made improvements, that is due to the Chinese. The Panama Canal treaty allows for US intervention if we feel that it's neutrality is threatened (along with preferred rates when using the canal). If the current government is not honoring these stipulations then re-occupation needs to be an option. Just saying.
I'm now visiting my mom who lives on the St Clair river & I'm looking out at Canada from her window as I write this. Now that PM Justin is resigning, Canada is looking much better. I might even visit after Justin officially leaves the premiership, something I didn't do during his time in office.
Time now to read scripture & pray that The Donald is highly successful as POTUS 47 as I want to enjoy my retirement & watch my kids achieve their American dream. Just saying.
THANK YOU!
