Dave- when you stopped publishing your previous blog, I was bummed as it was one of the first items I read each morning. So when I saw you publishing on Substack I subscribed ASAP. It is one of the first things I look at each morning (along with reading scriptures). Your insight helps me to digest the news each morning so thank you for that!
I am hopeful that your analysis regarding the Panama canal is also correct. I was one of the last American military personnel assigned there in 1999 & hated to see the US give up this asset so easily. The many Panamanians I knew did not want us leaving as well, as there were concerns that the Panamanian government would not be able to run it. While they have kept it open & made improvements, that is due to the Chinese. The Panama Canal treaty allows for US intervention if we feel that it's neutrality is threatened (along with preferred rates when using the canal). If the current government is not honoring these stipulations then re-occupation needs to be an option. Just saying.
I'm now visiting my mom who lives on the St Clair river & I'm looking out at Canada from her window as I write this. Now that PM Justin is resigning, Canada is looking much better. I might even visit after Justin officially leaves the premiership, something I didn't do during his time in office.
Time now to read scripture & pray that The Donald is highly successful as POTUS 47 as I want to enjoy my retirement & watch my kids achieve their American dream. Just saying.
This is why your column is my go-to for sensible and accurate information. I, too, recognized a pattern, and it was that you were spot on in your information. Thank you!
I've been reading you since Whatfinger linked your columns when Trump announced in 2015. When you went to substack I subscribed right away. I really appreciate your insight and look forward to your posts every morning. You have a great way of putting the issues into perspective.
I am totally convinced that a paid subscription would be great. I would like to see the complete postings. But I'm already subscribed to Energy Absurdities and a few other blogs and the budget isn't stretching for more at the moment.
So the spirit is willing, but the pocket book is weak.
So I’ve been reading you for 39 years? Good heavens. Well it’s better than reading the tales of “Billy Badass” by Jeff Latcham in the BBP.🤣. But no offense to Jeff, of course.
Worth the price of admission, y’all. And then some.!

THANK YOU!
I took the flag down in 1999 on the USSOUTHCOM Joint Color Guard. Previously did time at Rodman with NSWU-8.
I look forward to reading your postings everyday.
When your last paragraph ends with Glorious, I smile.
Ok, I’m in! I’ve been reading the free stuff long enough. Happy New Year, David!
Your posts are excellent, accurately predictive, timely and you deserve many kudos. Keep it up

Your stuff's always been worth some shekels...so I'll keep re-upping.

They have Nostradamus, we have David Blackmon!

What year was your first “Now wait just a minute “ column published in the BBP? 1993?
February 6, 1986. Glad someone remembers!

Worth every penny, folks! Thanks, David, for all of your insights and humor. Also love the weekly Energy Realities podcast with the Gang of 4!
