***UPDATE***
Kash Patel’s nomination was advanced out of committee this morning on a strict party line vote. There seems to be no doubt he has the votes needed to be confirmed when the nomination comes to the Senate floor early next week.
Just a few minutes after the vote on Patel’s nomination, RFK, Jr. was finally confirmed by the full Senate. As with yesterday’s vote on Tulsi Gabbard’s confirmation, Mitch McConnell was the only RINO to vote against RFK’s confirmation.
Sadly, McConnell appears intent on ending his long career the same way John McCain ended his: As a pathetic figure raging constantly at the wind.
***END UPDATE***
First a reminder that Tulsi Gabbard was confirmed as Director of National Intelligence on Wednesday by a 52-48 margin. Only senile, wheelchair bound RINO Mitch McConnell - or one of his staffers, more likely - chose to vote “no” on the nomination.
More confirmation action will take place in the Senate today related to the nomination of Kash Patel to be FBI Director and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.
On Patel’s nomination, the Senate Judiciary Committee meets at 9:00 a.m. ET to hold a vote to pass the nomination to the Senate floor. We continue to hear and see reports that Patel will be voted out on a straight party line vote.
If that happens, we can expect a cloture vote to happen late Monday, with the final confirmation vote finally taking place either Tuesday or Wednesday.
On RFK, Jr.’s nomination, which passed cloture on Wednesday, the full Senate confirmation vote is scheduled to happen today at 9:30 a.m. ET.
We’re almost there.
Enjoy the show.
That is all.
Yesss ! Finally!
Fingers crossed!
