There is no circumstance where Alec Baldwin is innocent. He, and he alone, is responsible for the results of discharging a loaded weapon. He, and he alone was responsible for knowing whether or not a weapon in his custody was load or not. He should be charged with negligent homicide.

Big john would you care to wager on his arrest? In Democrat controlled NM, they'll probably hirer him to run the local Alcohol, Tabaco, and Firearm office.

Unfortunately, you're probably correct. If this had happened to an average person, they would already be in custody.

You are so right. These people vilify the NRA, yet if they would have made an NRA gun safety course mandatory for gun handling in a movie that talented wife and mother would probably be alive.

BINGO. There is no one else to blame, YOU are responsible for the weapon you hold. HE pointed the weapon at someone, HE pulled the trigger. 'Negligent homicide' indeed. You do NEITHER of those two things unless you intend to shoot someone. His mouth is bigger than his brain.

The problem is the vilification of the NRA. If these people would have taken an NRA approved gun safety course this beautiful talented wife and mother would probably be alive. Everyone who has taken these courses knows EXACTLY what I mean.

As you are reading all of the reports on this, remember that in the movie industry even a blank cartridge is referred to as a "live round". This is one of those cases where the industry jargon does not track with the general meaning of the term.

I wonder how Trump feels about " bang bang baldwin".

I think Trump feels sorrow for the loss of a talented wife and mother, and he shakes his head in disbelief at the amateur approach to gun safety by a stupid mutt that did and does nothing but curse out the NRA and gun owners in general.

First of all, the basic tenant of Firearm Safety is never point a gun at anyone. Even if this was a toy gun why was this moron shooting at people on the Set? It appears to be a Western movie so why shoot the Camera person? I'm assuming "life of the party" Alec was just being himself.

Another tenant is to always check the status of the weapon when handed to you. It is YOUR responsibility once you take possession. Is it unloaded?

this event proves that it is not people who kill people but the gun itself.

I read there was a lot of anger and discontent with the set workers on the production. My speculation is somebody who was very unhappy put a real bullet into the gun instead of a blank to sabotage the production.

If so, that person should be charged also. But as the HOLDER of a weapon, YOU are responsible for KNOWING it's status. Even EMPTY you do not point a weapon at someone.

Where exactly was he aiming? Was he shooting while the camera was rolling? Shouldn't the gun have been aimed at another actor? An inanimate object? Was he just fooling around between takes? How does he hit 2 people behind the camera? Just asking...
