After the Harvard Crimson student paper published an editorial calling for her resignation due to her amazing compilation of plagiarized academic papers, Harvard President Claudine Gay submitted her resignation mid-day Wednesday:
Cancellation is bad even when it happens to “the other side”. She should have been terminated for cause not “asked to resign” at the behest of the angry mob.
Not so fast. Gay will step down to being a simple Professor now. Which is a step not far enough as I see it. If she cheated to get to employment, above the custodial level, she needs to be shown the door completely.
