Saturday's Stupendous Absurdities: FBI Mounts a Coverup as Jay Powell Crashes the Stock Market
Here’s basically all you really need to know what happened on Friday.
First, the jack-botted thugs at the FBI released their redacted affidavit related to their storming (the media says we can’t call it a “raid”) of Mar-a-Lago:
Shortly thereafter, President Donald Trump responded:
Sadly for our country, both illustrations are fair depictions of the atrocity that was released by the FBI and its DOJ masters. Basically, their response amounts to “screw you and your right to know, American people, you’ll just have to trust us to do the right thing.”
And their lapdogs, plants and stenographers in the corporate news media all nod their heads, pant a little bit hoping for a scratch behind the ears and move on to write another cover story for Old Joe Biden.
Here’s a great illustration of that truth by the Democrat operatives at Axios:
That’s right: The propagandists at Axios resorted to literally defending Banana Republics in their latest effort to ‘get Trump.’
You just could never make this stuff up in a million billion years.
Anyone who believes our country can continue to exist indefinitely with this kind of corruption rot in DC lives in an alternative universe. They’re so emboldened now that they don’t even make the slightest effort to mask what they’re really doing. Comey and Mueller at least tried to mount an appearance of legitimacy - Wray just barrels ahead.
But enough about that; let’s go to other, real news…
I’ve always believed Mitch McConnell prefers operating as Senate Minority Leader. Here’s proof:
So, he’s abandoning a close senate race in an evenly-divided state, mainly because the GOP candidate has the endorsement of Donald Trump. But also because he and Mark Kelly are two peas in the DC Swamp pod. Mitch likes Mark Kelly and doesn’t want to lose him.
Being Senate Majority Leader is a tough, demanding job. It is akin to an upper management job in a major corporation in which your portfolio includes thousands of employees in half a dozen departments. It’s a job that also comes with inconvenient expectations of success and, dare I say it, even winning?
But being Senate Minority Leader is far easier; it cuts way down on your management responsibilities and allows you mainly to scheme and take potshots at the majority without the inconvenient expectations that come with actually prevailing on a vote now and then.
Mitch has been very public about warning us that his party might not gain a senate majority this year, and here he is, working hard to ensure that ends up being the case.
Do not doubt me on this.
Speaking of hilariously biased news media, here is the latest intrepid investigative “report” on Stacey Abrams by Bloomberg:
“Successful businesswoman,” “rising financial fortunes,” “drawing fire from the Right.” So many code words in a simple tweet.
First, Abrams has zero history whatsoever as a “successful businesswoman” in any sane definition of that term. Second, her “rising financial fortunes” consist of somehow becoming mysteriously and fabulously wealthy while holding down political jobs that don’t pay much more than $100k per year.
So, yeah, that’s “drawing fire” from Republicans, but not from the Democrat mouthpieces at Bloomberg. I suppose we should just be grateful that Bloomberg didn’t tell us that “Conservatives pounce” on Abrams in that tweet.
Holy crap.
While all that was going on, Jay Powell was working hard to crash the stock market out in Jackson Hole:
Hey, look at that:
It worked!
God help us.
That is all.
Actually, I am going to disagree with you concerning Mitch McConnell. He has shown himself to be a master strategist. Case in point, because of him we have three young conservative associate justices on the Supreme Court. That alone makes me a supporter. With 74 days to the November election Blake Masters is running 8 points behind Mark Kelly and while that spread could be made up current polling does not support that happening. Additionally, they only cut half of the financial support not all of it so it's not like leaving Masters twisting in the wind. Shifting money around is always done during these campaigns, in order, to best position the party to win or maintain the majority. In fact, the democrats have already done the same thing. As an example, look at how much money (28 million) republicans are jacking into the Ohio race between J. D. Vance and Tim Ryan where Vance currently has a slight lead. I and McConnell want the same thing, a Republican Senate majority and if cutting funding for Masters in an iffy race to win in Ohio makes that happen, I am all in.
I believe McConnell is owned by China & carries out China’s instructions.
