On the topic of baseball being affordable, when I was a kid in the late 60s, my Dad's office (DoA, SRS) would gang together and could buy 100 baseball tickets for $1 each. So we got to go to the Senator's games in DC for $1 per head. Of course, back then, that was ten candy bars, but converting back, if tickets today cost the same, they'd be $12.50.
And I remember the hot dogs back then tasting a lot better too. I don't know why. Nostalgia, or maybe they salted the water they steamed them in.
