The Campaign Update: Manchin Kills Build Back Better...Again

He already did this once right before Christmas, when he told everyone who would listen that he simply cannot find a way to vote in favor of the so-called “Build Back Better” bill, which is really just a Green New Deal funding/social welfare state expansion vehicle, under any circumstances.

But Democrat Party leaders just refuse to take ‘no’ for an answer, flummoxed as they are by their ongoing inability to bully West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin into submission as they have always been able to do. So, as I noted yesterday, they called out their “big guns” over the last week - Oprah, Obama and Slick Willie - to call Manchin and try to cajole, bribe, threaten or browbeat their wayward Senator into submission.

That obviously did not work out for them.
