Tie for some class action civil lawsuits. Mass murder. Pure and simple. Fauci and all those who joined in on this need to face consequences, not Congressional panels.

Agreed. At the end of the day, no congressional minority can really do anything to hold anyone accountable. They used to be able to threaten that through the budgeting process, but that all died away with Harry Reid and his unending parade of massive continuing resolutions. And we all know that Republicans like Cruz love to engage in these kinds of aggressive histrionics during hearings while in the minority, but once again in the majority will suddenly forget what all the fuss was about. Maddening.

Mr. Blackmon,

I have seen Cruz' blunt questioning of the many leftist nominees Biden has proposed for many judicial and diplomatic postings.

But I am disturbed at how he has now made a deal with Schumer to lift his blocking of the 32 nominees he previously couldn't support, so long as Schumer agrees to a vote on sanctioning the Nordstream 2 pipeline.

This quid pro quo may or will result in several in nominees taking office that he previously so vociferously opposed.

How is this good for us?

Big oil benefits but now we have a lot more entrenched lifelong leftists in gov't who will do serious damage to personal freedom. These deals don't benefit liberty, they benefit his donors.

I don't know why Cruz made that deal. I'm sure he did have pressure from some of the really big oil companies who do business with the Russian companies who own Nordstream to make it. It disturbs me as well, and it's another thing Cruz will have to try to explain when he's up again in 2024.
