Once again, by way of Senator John Cornyn, the republicans may snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by helping the democrats pass this do nothing "Gun Safety" bill which would only strip lawful gun owners of their second amendment rights through "Red Flag" laws and very little else. Whether the bill passes or not the democrats will still paint republicans as uncaring about our school children and will use it as a bludgeon during the lead up to the midterms because all the have is an economy that is an unmitigated disaster.
