Yes, a cynic might say it will be extremely simple for this "special counsel" to just string this thing out through the end of Biden's term in office and well into a second term if need be, when the thing could be disbanded due to "lack of evidence" at a convenient point in time.
I think the recent appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Biden family's business dealings raises questions about transparency and motivations. Time will reveal the true intentions behind this move.
