Getting everyone to believe Oswald was somehow the “lone assassin” posed by J. Edgar Hoover tells me Oswald was not alone as we know now the FBI is a lying, corrupt organization and always has been judging from Hoover's extra long tenure as Director. As a former Marine, I can believe Oswald was a lone shooter; however, and could have got off those shots accurately in rapid succession. When given a mission, Marines rehearse over and over again until it's go time. Being that he was a radar operator, those types of MOS's having to do with intelligence have always been ripe for CIA recruitment. PS I have a 1960s vintage hippy button with Oswald's picture that says "The Marine Corps Builds Oswalds", a take on the 60s era recruiting slogan "The Marine Corps Builds Men" LOL
The problem with the notion Oswald did all that damage with 3 shots is the timing restriction of 6.2 seconds imposed by the Zapruder film. Some of the best marksmen the military had during the '60s and '70s did their best to replicate that feat and none could really do it. A couple claimed to, but then you find out they were shooting at stationary targets with no visual impediments - like the multiple oak trees in Oswald's lines of sight on the shots.
Even if you can believe Oswald did the shooting, you then run into the physics-defying flight trajectory of the Magic Bullet.
And none of that even considers the fact that not one, but two Dallas Sheriffs Deputies signed sworn affidavits that the gun they found on the 6th floor was not even a Manlicher Carcano but a standard German Mauser that had the standard German mauser markings on the barrel.
It's all nonsense, and not even clever nonsense at that.
I think Oswald killed Kennedy but was not the only shooter there that day when you take into account the majic bullet (although that is disputed). I shoot a Remington 700 chamberd to 260 with 140 grain match grade rounds and have hit 800 meters plus with100 meters as a near sure thing. The rifle Oswald used was a 6.5×52mm Carcano which is a decent rifle and round and very close to the 260 caliber, as well as, the winchester 308. The last shot Oswald made was the kill shot to the head at 81 meters going stright away from him so he would not have had to lead the target merely adjust for elevation. Oswald was a trained marksman and to make a shot less than 100 meters out would have certainly been within his capability. He was certainly tight on the first shot missing but he hit on the last two.
Certainly, with time to aim, a gun in good working order (his gun wasn't), a properly calibrated scope (his scope wasn't) and 10-15 seconds available to him, most Marine shooters could have made those shots. But Oswald had 6.2 seconds. I knew an expert marksman who tried repeatedly just to get fairly accurate shots off with a perfectly functional and sighted Manlicher Carcano in 6.2 seconds at a stationary target 100 yards away, and was never able to even hit the target at all more than once. Given time, he could easily place all 3 inside an inch or two of one another.
None of that even considers the fact that Oswald was an extremely high-strung and nervous individual during the normal course of a day. Under the pressure of knowing he was about to kill a POTUS with almost no chance of getting away, he would have been shaking like Barney Fife.
It's almost an impossibility given the conditions.
Some newer techknowledge used to analized the Zapruder film is now indicating from first to last shot may be from 8 to 8.3 seconds. Oswald had repeatedly practised with the Carcano and although it is not the greatest rifle it can shoot well. In particular the 6.5x52mm had a longer projectile which tumbleds on inpact producting a lot of damage, think blowing off a part of Kennedy's skull, pink mist for sure. As far as the sight goes I know folks have poopooed it was not sighted well but that was after Oswald stached it behind a bunch of boxes, which in his haste to leave could understandably knoclk it out of kilter. Sure he was jumpy and missed the first shot, a lot of shooters are, then they settled in and pumped out the next two.

One thing is for sure- we will never know the truth
That is for sure, yes.
